During my visit home this week I was fortunate enough to meet up with a few of my girl friends, one of whom suggested we have brunch at a place called the Royal Park Hotel. I had never been, so I was up for it. Today’s Reverb10 asks:
What did you eat this year that you will never forget?
Well. We sat down, had a good main course meal, caught up, and then came the good part. Dessert.Unlimited.
Now I’m a dessert and sweets fanatic. Just a little. This hotel had tables full of canoli, mini cheesecakes, chocolate mousse, mini fruit tarts, ice cream, custards, creme brule, macaroons, and cupcakes, just to name a few things. Oh and not just ANY cupcakes. Fancy, decorative chocolate and vanilla with pearl ones.Yes. I wish I had taken a picture of the desert spread.Now of course it wasn’t exactly soul food, but it was definitely an unforgettable dessert choice and meal.
