Friendships – Where do you draw the line?

We’ve all been in this situation. You’re in a good friendship with someone, as close friends, maybe even best friends, and you tell each other plenty about your lives. When your friend asks for advice or support, you supply it. When your friend needs a shoulder to cry on, you’re there. When you’re friend needs you to spot them, you’re there, no question. And vice versa. You share the good and the bad of each others’ lives, but is there a place where you draw the line on that closeness? It seems like you should be able to open up and be honest about everything, but really, everything? How close is too close? Perhaps it’s better to stay neutral and keep the peace in your friendship but then again, shouldn’t close friends be able to put everything out there?   What do you think?
